The products of this day are strong and clearly more technologically advanced, but none were more popular than the Citation. Golf historians indicate that the first PowerBilt Citation came out as early as 1910. For a period of more than six decades form the 1910s through the 1970s, a top choice in persimmon woods was the Citation, due to its distance and accuracy.

The set is all-in-one and has a specifically designed putter for a youth player. Not only do they have clubs for men and women, but they also offer a junior line of clubs for both girls and boys. PowerBilt designs clubs to help the average player through partnerships with companies such as True Temper, Adilia, Winn, and Golf Pride. They offer a complete line of golf equipment and accessories for women, men, and children without the high cost of other major golf equipment brands. PowerBilt is a worldwide name, found in major golf markets in North America, South America, Japan, Australia, and Europe. Since the acquisition, there has been an expansion to include goods/apparel, fitness, and high tech to cater to players of all skill levels. In 2016, the PowerBilt brand was acquired by Hilco Streambank from Hillerich and Bradsby. Other big names that have played PowerBilt clubs include Frank Beard, Chip Beck, Grant Waite, Bobby Nichols, Gay Brewer, Steve Lowry, and Larry Mize. Over the years, PowerBilt has won over 140 events and eight majors, including Fuzzy Zoeller’s wins at the US Open and The Masters. By the mid-1920s, the company expanded and nearly ten years later, the PowerBilt brand began officially making golf clubs. After a few years producing clubs branded for the stores that sold them, the company marketed clubs under their own name. Hillerich and Son became Hillerich and Bradsby in 1916.
